European Finals 2022.
The Weekend was going great, Qualified 2nd and made it into the semi finals this is when Steve and Dave took the win at a large expense.
The car Caught fire around 900ft out traveling at 265mph Steve done a great job keeping the car off the wall and getting himself to safety ASAP which is always top priority. The track crew, fire crew, doctors and ambulance were straight to Steve's Aid.
The safety team at Santa Pod Raceway and the FIA safety systems on the car worked keeping Steve from becoming a Hog on a spit roast Thank you from the Entire team for the emegency crew at santa pod raceway for everthing you guys do for Drag Racing at santa pod.
Once the fire crews got the fire under control the Team was allowed to take a look at the car to find the whole car had been damaged in the fire, from wires, air lines and body to tyres.
The Team got the car back to pits and got it ready for loading to take it back to the workshop, in the meantime Steve came back walking wounded which isnt nice for the Team, and Steve family to see but everyone was really happy to see he is Ok.
Once the car got back to the workshop Dave and Steve made a Plan and they made the desision to upgrade all new safety and tuner systems along with Tyres, Brakes, Fuel and oil tanks, seatbelts, parachutes etc.
It was a very long Winter for Dave and the Workshop Team building the new parts and getting everything to fit. Geoff doing a great job on the new tin work, Jason mounting the replacement body, Dave and Jay building the new systems Box with Help from American top fuel driver and team owner Terry Haddock Dave and Steve very thankful for the Team sticking together and making shit happen as always!
The Workshop Team worked through the job list and slowly but surely the job list got smaller.
Car was completed for the 2nd event of the 2023 funny car cup where the testing begins!
